Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMAN 1 Singosari and describe the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the independent curriculum. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Qualitative research is a research activity that produces data in the form of facts in the form of written descriptions. Data collection was carried out using three techniques, namely, observation, interviews and documentation. There are 4 data analysis processes used in this research, namely, data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing.
The results of this research can be concluded that the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMAN 1 Singosari has been implemented. In implementing the independent curriculum, there are 4 forms of implementing the independent curriculum which include communication, resources, disposition and organizational structure. In implementing the independent curriculum, SMAN 1 Singosari has supporting factors in the number of qualified teachers and a beautiful environment, while the inhibiting factor is that the independent curriculum in its implementation requires adaptation and the student learning environment is not supportive.
Suggestions and recommendations that can be given from the results of this research are suggestions to continue to provide a block system in learning and recommendations to further improve communication in the form of collaboration to further improve the execution of the independent curriculum for both teachers and students. Carry out reflections between teachers in internal and external areas such as other school institutions. Providing education about juvenile delinquency, one of which is socializing the dangers of promiscuity and educating parents about understanding of increasingly advanced educational developments. One of them is the implementation of an increasingly advanced independent curriculum.
