Abstract

Stunting or chronic malnutrition is a nutritional problem resulting from a lack of nutritional intake from food that lasts for quite a long time. Stunting is still a major nutritional problem in developing countries like Indonesia. Based on data from SSGBI in 2021, the prevalence of stunted toddlers in Indonesia decreased from 2019 to 2021, namely from 27.67% to 24.4%. In an effort to reduce the prevalence of stunting, the government has issued many programs to make it happen. Therefore, research is urgently needed that can present comprehensive facts regarding stunting prevention programs in Indonesia, so that it is useful for the government in making policies regarding stunting prevention programs that are more precise and efficient. This research aims to identify stunting prevention programs in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative methods which are structured based on the focus of the research. The results of the review of 25 articles showed that effective prevention of stunting can be done by providing nutritional education to influential parties (cadres, mothers of toddlers, pregnant mothers and expectant mothers), forming study groups for mothers of toddlers, and providing additional food for toddlers. Programs or interventions carried out to prevent stunting must pay close attention to the input and process aspects in order to obtain optimal output, and must involve all parties from mothers of toddlers to cross-sectoral sectors.
