Abstract

Hartini Djamikowati. M.Sc. Thesis Title: The Role of Employees in Improving Services (Implementation Study of Employee Services in Improving Public Services Based on KEPMEN PAN Number 63/KEP/M.PAN/7/2003 at the Klojen District Office, Malang City). This study aims to describe and determine the role of employees in improving public services at the Klojen sub-district office. This research method is research with a qualitative approach. Qualitative research is a problem solving approach based on an intangible description of numbers. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis in this study used 4 components consisting of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Researchers use credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability to check the validity of research data. From the results of this study it can be seen that the role of employees in improving services at the Klojen sub-district office which includes service procedures and requirements, the ability of service providers, facilities and infrastructure at the Klojen sub-district office is quite good. By clarifying the existing procedures and requirements it can be easily understood by the community and to make it easier for the public to find out the requirements for public servants to see directly on the official website of the Klojen sub-district office without having to go back and forth to complete the requirements, by involving employees in technical guidance or socialization related to good services in the environment Klojen sub-district as well as outside activities, the availability of new service places that are more suitable for use even though the facilities and infrastructure are not yet complete. Recommendations that can be drawn from the results of this study are by holding outreach to the community regarding service requirements so that they are easily understood by the public. Participate in socialization, training and technical guidance so that you can find out the role of employees in service and what can be applied so that public services can be achieved more optimally.
