Abstract

This undergraduate thesis is the result of research that describes the results of an information system audit of the new student admission system at Merdeka University, Malang. Initially, information system audits were only carried out as part of financial report audits. However, as time goes by and because of the increasing importance of the scale of budget investments in IT, organizations increasingly feel the need to audit the operations of IT functions. Then, ISACA finally began to introduce COBIT audits to clarify the mapping of the IT audit field. So auditing information systems is generally useful in assessing the level of compliance between information systems and companies, where later users can see whether the information system has been implemented efficiently, economically and efficiently. The audit process uses the DSS (Delivery, Support, Service) domain by determining the value at the maturity level, namely 3,78. With these results, the maturity level is at level 4, which means that the processes carried out are running optimally and performance has increased quantitatively, which means the system performance is running based on data. Meanwhile, the desired achievement target is at level 5 or optimizing, meaning that measurement improvements and assessments must be carried out periodically so that performance can increase as expected, so that the previously determined goals can be realized.
