Abstract

Daniel Asi Latin, 19031000022, Public Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Merdeka University, Malang. Completing this thesis with the title "Efforts of Village Community Empowerment Institutions (LPMK) in Increasing Community Participation (Study of LPMK Efforts in Increasing Community Participation Based on Malang City Regional Regulation Number 13 of 2010 concerning Village Community Empowerment Institutions, In Gading Kasri Village, Kec.Klojen, Malang City), supervised by Drs. H. Bambang Noorsetya, M.Si as supervisor I and Dr. Dwi Suharnoko, M.Si as supervisor II. The village Community Empowerment Institution (LPMK) is a forum formed on the initiative of the community as a local government partner in accommodating and realizing the aspirations and needs of the community in the field of development. LPMK has the task of preparing participatory development plans, mobilizing community self-help, implementing and controlling development according to the Malang City Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2010 to compile participatory development, implementing, controlling, utilizing, maintaining and developing participatory development, and mobilizing participation mutual cooperation, community self-help and fostering community dynamic conditions in the framework of community empowerment. With the existence of LPMK to form cooperation between the government and the community to advance the area, the role of LPMK is expected to increase community involvement in village development. Therefore, a problem was found in this study, namely how the efforts of LPMK in increasing community participation in Gading Kasri Village, Klojen District based on Malang City Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2010 and the supporting and inhibiting factors of LPMK in increasing community participation. The purpose of this research was to find out and describe LPMK's efforts to increase community participation based on Malang City Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2010 concerning Village Community Empowerment Institutions. As well as knowing and describing the supporting and inhibiting factors of LPMK's efforts to increase community participation. This research uses descriptive field research and uses qualitative methods through observation, interviews and documentation. After the data is collected, the researcher manages the data using reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that LPMK's efforts to increase community participation had been going well and in accordance with the provisions of the Malang City Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2010, namely empowering the community to be involved in every village development activity both physically and non-physically. LPMK as a forum for channeling community aspirations, has succeeded in carrying out its function in increasing community participation by involving the community in decision making, designing, implementing, evaluating development activities for a better urban village development process.
