Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises are business entities located in the village andformed by the village government and the community. In Law Number 6 of 2014concerning villages it is explained that the formation of Village-Owned Enterprises bythe village government is in order to improve the welfare of rural communities byutilizing all potentials such as economy, human resources and also potential in theform of natural resources. The purpose of this study was carried out to see and describescientifically the extent to which Village Owned Enterprise Governance (BUM Desa)in Sanankerto Village is running, especially in the application of managementprinciples in the management of BUM Desa itself. In addition, this research was alsoconducted to identify and describe the factors that influence the governance of BUMDesa in Sananerto Village. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitativeresearch with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation anddocumentation. The results of the research related to the Governance of VillageOwned Enterprises in Sanankerto Village, especially the application of managementprinciples in BUM Desa governance have been carried out quite well. Themanagement principles applied start from planning, organizing, directing, andsupervising. The governance of BUM Desa in Sanankerto Village has been going wellin terms of planning, organizing and directing, while the supervision of activities isstill relatively normative, it is carried out by checking conditions in the field.Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in the management of Kerto Raharjo Village OwnedEnterprises (BUM Desa) in Sanankerto Village include: human resources, capitaladequacy, availability of suppor
