Abstract
Structural planning in the construction of high-rise buildings has a high riskof earthquakes. Steel frame tube structures with the addition of concentric bracing to increase resistance to lateral forces, increase structural stability and reduceshear lag effects.
The modeled structure is a 20-story steel frame tube building structure with various forms of concentric bracing. There are 4 variations namely X Concentric Bracing System Shape Model, D Concentric Bracing System Shape Model, VConcentric Bracing System Shape Model, and Inverted V Concentric Bracing System Shape Model. Earthquake force analysis using response spectrum analysis with 3D modeling using SAP 2000.
The analysis results show that the recommended model is the Concentric Bracing System Shape Model D. Because it dominantly meets the requirements by having a vibration period value of 1.066 seconds, the value of the basic earthquake force in the X direction of 4932.22 kN and in the Y direction of 4734.242 kN, and the value of the intersection between floors in the X direction of 15.193 mm and inthe Y direction of 16.37 mm.
