Abstract

Problems that occur in the fertilization process, namely the mismatch of the dose given can be caused by several root causes. Long-term fertilization makes it difficult to calculate the fertilization schedule accurately. The variety of plant species also causes difficulties in arranging schedules and allows for missed or not carried out according to schedule. Large areas of land do not allow seeding to be carried out in one day, this makes each type of plant have a different fertilization schedule. Different types of fertilizers have different application times. Based on the many problems in the fertilization process that makes the management of plant fertilization more complex. The complexity of problems in fertilization management can be solved with an information system. This information system will assist the management process in scheduling fertilizers on plants automatically. So that it can make it easier for farmers in the initial scheduling process to help when the fertilization process is running. The development of a fertilization scheduling management information system is carried out using the thinking design method. This method was chosen because of its user-oriented application to make the system designed according to needs. Design thinking is a design methodology that offers the intended bid to solve a problem. This is especially useful for dealing with complex problems. In its implementation, Design Thinking consists of five stages, namely Emphasize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test. The implementation that has been tested with the System Usability Scale (SUS) obtained a value of 80, which is categorized as Good and Acceptable.
