Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of leverage, capital structure and profitability on potential financial distress in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2022 period. This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study is food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2022 period. The samples in this study used the purposive sampling method and obtained 15 food and beverage companies that fit the predetermined criteria. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS 18 program. The results showed that the variables of leverage and profitability affect the potential for financial distress. While the capital structure variable has no effect on the potential for financial distress.
