Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze differences in the financial performance of insurance companies before and during the Covid 19 outbreak by using financial ratios consisting of Current Ratio, Cash Ratio, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Debt to Asset Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio and Total Asset Turn Over. This research takes objects from insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2018 2021 period. The sample in this study was obtained using the saturated sampling method where all members of the population were sampled, so that a sample of 11 insurance companies was obtained. Methods of data analysis using normality test and paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that CR, CRA, ROA, ROE, DAR, DER and TATO have significant differences in the financial performance of insurance companies before and during the Covid 19 outbreak for the 2018-2021 period.
