Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of financial ratios Price to Book Value which is measured using Return on Assets, Current Ratio, Dividend Payout Ratio, and Debt to Equity Ratio. This research takes objects in the Coal Sub-Sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2017-2021 period. The population in this study were 28 companies in the Coal Sub Sector, while the sample was obtained using a purposive sampling method based on predetermined criteria, so that a sample of 7 companies in the Coal Sub Sector was obtained. The dependent variable in this study is Price to Book Value, while the independent variables are Return on Assets, Current Ratio, Dividend Payout Ratio, and Debt to Equity Ratio. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test and the coefficient of determination tested using the classical assumption test. The results of this study indicate that partially ROA, DPR and DER have a significant positive effect on PBV, while CR has an insignificant positive effect on PBV. Simultaneously ROA, CR, DPR and DER have a significant effect on PBV in coal sub-sector companies for the 2017-2021 period.
