Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of asset growth, assetstructure and company size on capital structure. This research takes objects in food andbeverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2018-2022. The population in this study were 35 food and beverage companies, while thesample was obtained using purposive sampling method based on predetermined criteria,so that a sample of 15 food and beverage companies was obtained. The dependentvariable in this study is capital structure, while the independent variables are assetgrowth, asset structure, and company size. The data analysis method uses multiple linearregression analysis, F test, t test and the coefficient of determination which is tested usingthe classical assumption test. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously assetgrowth, asset structure and company size have a significant effect on capital structure infood and beverage companies for the period 2018-2022. Partially, asset growth and assetstructure have a significant positive effect on capital structure while company size has nosignificant effect on capital structure.
