Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the effect of herding bias, overconfidencebias, and cognitive dissonance bias on investment decisions. This study uses quantitativemethods with data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed to investors witha sample of 102 investor respondents who have been in the capital market for at least oneyear, have done trading, and have made at least two investment transactions in capitalmarket products. The sample was distributed to customers of PT Sucor Sekuritas MalangCity Branch. This study analyzes data using convergent validity test, discriminant validity,composite reliability test and significant test. Data management in this study uses statisticaltools, namely SmartPLS 3.0 software. This study proves that herding bias and cognitivedissonance bias have a positive but insignificant influence on the investment decisions ofinvestors of PT Sucor Sekuritas Malang City Branch. In contrast to the variableoverconfidence bias in this study has a positive and significant influence on the investmentdecisions of investors of PT Sucor Sekuritas Malang City Branch. Suggestions for furtherresearch can use other behavioral bias variables outside the variables used in this studythat can influence investment decision making. The technical analysis used in this studyonly uses SmartPLS 3.0 software, while there are several other analytical tools that can beused by future researchers in order to get the latest research results and for capital marketinvestors who have herding bias, overconfidence bias, and cognitive dissonance biasbehavior need to pay more attention to the latest information as well as advice and inputfrom others as future considerations in making investment decisions and are expected tobe able to control themselves in the process of making investment decisions so that theydo not regret it later
