Abstract

The success and progress of a company is determined by the performance of itsemployees. And the performance of an employee is strongly influenced by the workenvironment and organizational culture of the company where they work. Where if acompany has a bad work environment and an organizational culture that is not conduciveit will cause the desire to change jobs from employees or what is called turnoverintention. High employee turnover rates result in organizations becoming ineffective,losing experienced employees and needing to train new employees. This study aims toexamine the effect of the work environment (X1) and organizational culture (X2) onturnover intention (Y). The population in this study is the z generation who work in MalangCity. The number of samples used in the study were 45 people, using the Cochranmethod in determining the number of samples. In collecting data using the questionnairemethod. This type of research is quantitative research using data analysis methodsmultiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. Based on theresults of the study it is known that partially there is a negative and significant effect of thework environment on turnover intention in Generation Z employees in Malang City. Whileorganizational culture partially has a negative and not significant effect on turnoverintention of generation z employees in Malang City. Based on the t test, the workenvironment obtained a sig of 0.036, and organizational culture obtained a sig of 0.244on turnover intention. The results of this study conclude that partially there is a negativeand significant effect of the work environment on turnover intention. And organizationalculture has no influence on turnover intention. Meanwhile, simultaneously the workenvironment and organizational culture have a positive and significant influence onturnover intention
