Abstract

This research aims to understand and analyze the comparison of financial performancebefore and after a merger in companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the2020 period. It is a case study of companies that underwent mergers in 2020. Theresearch aims to analyze the differences in company performance before and after themerger using financial ratios such as ROA (Return on Assets), current ratio, TATO (TotalAssets Turnover), Debt to Equity Ratio, and Price to Earnings Ratio in the long term. Thedata used are financial reports of companies that underwent mergers and were listed onthe Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2020. The data used are secondary data collectedthrough documentation from the official websites of the respective companies or thewebsite www.idx.co.id. Data analysis in this research employs a comparative researchtype with a quantitative approach measured using the paired sample t-test, preceded by anormality test and processed using SPSS version 25. The research results indicate thatall ratios in this study, ROA, CR, TATO, DER, PER, show significant differences incompany financial performance before and after the merger
