Abstract
The low level of financial literacy among students is according to OJK research whichsuggests that most students cannot understand financial concepts, even though studentsshould be able to be independent in how to manage finances and be responsible for theirown financial decisions. Financial management is a person's ability to organize andmanage their own finances. In the sense that a person can allocate the income they havefor their needs such as college needs, consumption and savings. Lifestyle influences aperson in managing their finances and how to set rules for managing their finances. Thisstudy aims to determine and analyze the effect of financial literacy and lifestyle on financialmanagement in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Merdeka UniversityMalang, either partially or simultaneously. This research is a quantitative research with datacollection techniques using a questionnaire. The sample used was 100 students of theFaculty of Economics and Business, Merdeka University of Malang who do not live withtheir parents (boarding house). This study used judgment sampling. Data analysistechniques using the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, hypothesistesting (t test and F test), and the coefficient of determination. Data processing in this studyused IBM SPSS (Statistics Package for the Social Sciences) version 26. The results of thisstudy prove that partially and simultaneously financial literacy and lifestyle variables havea significant effect on financial management in students of the Faculty of Economics andBusiness, Merdeka University Malang
