Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of Return on Assets, Debt to EquityRatio, Net profit Margin, and Company Size on Income Smoothing in processed foodcompanies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2022. Populationin this study consisted of 19 companies using purposive sampling method, obtained asample size of 17 companies and 56 observations. The data analysis method uses logisticregression analysis and to measure income smoothing using the eckel index. The resultsof this study shows that (1) return on assets affects income smoothing, (2) debt to equityratio has no effect on income smoothing, (3) net profit margin affects income smoothing,(4) company size has no effect on income smoothing.
