Abstract
Technology called business intelligence is used to collect, examine and display relevant data to help people make better decisions. A problem that still exists in the Public Works and Public Housing Office of Malacca Regency, which is responsible
for the maintenance of sanitation data: the office still provides an overview of the state of sanitation in Malacca Regency using manual techniques. The purpose of this research is to apply Power BI for data visualization and implementation of
Business Intelligence (BI) system on sanitation data of Malacca Regency from 2015 to 2023. This research method consists of several stages, namely collecting data from relevant sources (primary data from field surveys and secondary data from
annual reports), analyzing data, and cleaning data to ensure data quality. The findings show that BI and Power BI data visualizations can provide a clear and complete picture of the condition of the sanitation system in Malacca District. The
resulting data visualizations make it easy to identify places with limited access to sanitation, analyze variables that affect sanitation conditions, and track progress over time. The planning and implementation of sanitation improvement projects is aided by the strategic decision-making provided by these data visualizations. By supporting initiatives and policies aimed at improving sanitation standards, this application provides added value. Recommendations from this study include creating a more complete and durable BI system and teaching staff members how to run and use BI and Power BI efficiently
