Abstract
Analysis of the effect of concentric bracing on earthquake-resistant steel building structures aims to increase the rigidity and stability of the structure in a steel building and play a role in resisting vertical forces such as gravitational loads and horizontal/lateral forces such as earthquake loads, so as to prevent excessive deviations in the building structure. The structure under review is an 8-storey steel building. There are 4 structural modeling variations, namely the Control Plan Model (MDK), the K concentric bracing system shape model (MBSBKK), the IV concentric bracing system shape model (MBSBKIV), the D concentric bracing system shape model (MBSBKD). ) and IVV concentric bracing system shape model (MBSBKIVV). Structural modeling was carried out in 3D with the help of the SAP2000 program. Earthquake force analysis uses dynamic spectrum response analysis based on SNI 1726-2019. From the results of the analysis and discussion, the recommended building frame modelwhen an earthquake occurs is MBSBKK because it is more dominant in the theory of earthquake-resistant buildings. The results of this analysis show that the MBSBKK to MDK decreased in the vibration period with a percentage of 50.3% and a decrease in the floor drift in the X and Y directions with a percentage of 67% and 72.4%, an increase in the base force in the X and Y directions with percentage of 43.1% and 48.4% of the MDK.
