Abstract

BPBD is a non-departmental government institution in the disaster area of one of its tasks in distributing assistance from the community to refugees in the field quickly and appropriately. However, the efficiency in disaster donation management at Batu City BPBD is constrained by the less effective manual method and the lack of information on the
needs required by BPBD. This study aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of disaster response, while providing opportunities for companies, organizations, and communities to respond more quickly and accurately.
The Design Thinking approach method has been used in this study. Researchers observe, interview, and disseminate questionnaires to achieve the research objectives. The research revealed the essence of the problem, which is that people are confused about the type and amount of donations needed by refugees due to lack of information, and BPBD is facing difficulties in receiving donations due to
inappropriate assistance or items that exceed the needs of refugees. As a workaround, this research resulted in a UI/UX design of applications that were expected to address problems faced by both the community and the BPBD
