Abstract

The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (2005) describes that the role of UMKM in the Indonesian economy can be seen from their position as major players in economic activity in various sectors. However, UMKM still have some drawbacks,
one of which is the lack of awareness of UMKM players about the importance of recording sales. Many UMKMs carry out simple bookkeeping or do not even record sales. In fact, bookkeeping plays an important role in the progress of a business. One of the UMKMs that still uses simple bookkeeping is CV. Dorang Fish located in Jatisari Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency. Because of this, CV. Ikan
Dorang has difficulty getting product stock information. One way that can be done is to design a sales information system that can help record the administration of CV. Ikan Dorang, especially in checking product stock. This research was designed using the Research & Development method, carried out at “CV. Ikan Dorang”, which is addressed at Jalan KH. Agus Salim RT. 25 RWs. 05 Jatisari, TajinanM District, Malang Regency, East Java 65172. The object of research is the environment of CV. Ikan Dorang, with the owner and employee staff as a source of information related to recording sales. Data collection is done by interview,
observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the safety stock method using the Microsoft Excel application
