Abstract
The current use of concrete is not only in the scope of the structure, but can also be used for non-structural purposes. The use of concrete in non-structural components is certainly different from structures where the composition is designed in such a way as to produce concrete with more aesthetic and economic value. Therefore, researchers want to find a way to make concrete that suits their needs, one of which is non-structural concrete, namely non-sand concrete with pumice filler material. Manufacture of non-sand concrete made from pumice filler material made with the volume ratio of coarse aggregate-cement and aggregate gradation to the compressive strength of non-sand concrete. The test object used is in the form of a cylinder with a size of 15 x 30 cm and will be tested for compressive strength at the age of 28 days. There were 36 test objects which were divided into 4 populations. Variations in the content of the pumice filler used were 0%, 10%, 15% and 20% while the variations in the gradation of the stone used were 5 mm, 10 mm and 20 mm. Testing the compressive strength of non-sand concrete was carried out using a Compression Testing Machine based on the ASTM C39 standard. The research results showed that normal non-sand concrete in population 1 had the highest average compressive strength of 12.74 MPa with a volume ratio of coarse aggregate-cement of 2:1 and an aggregate gradation of 5 mm. Whereas for non-sand concrete population 2 the highest average compressive strength is 26.42 MPa for 5 mm stone gradations and 10% pumice filler content. Specimen population 3 has the highest average compressive strength of 25.29 MPa with a 10 mm stone gradation and 10% pumice filler content. Whereas for population 4 specimens, the highest average compressive strength was 18.31 MPa with a stone gradation of 20 mm and a pumice filler content of 10% at. The use of 10% pumice filler content and 5 mm stone gradation compressive strength is higher, namely 26.42 Mpa. While the use of 20% pumice filler content and 20 mm stone gradation obtained the lowest compressive strength value of 13.21 Mpa. So it can be concluded that the lower the content of pumice filler and the gradation of the stone, the higher the compressive strength of the concrete.
