Abstract

The purpose of this thesis research is to analyze the network infrastructure design at University X. Network infrastructure is an important aspect in higher education institutions in ensuring a stable and secure connection, especially in
areas that require sufficient internet access and build an integrated network. This research method uses a descriptive research type. Data was collected through a survey at University X and unstructured interviews to obtain the data needed by the author. The results of this analysis indicate that the network infrastructure at University X has a computer network but it is not well organized and requires a new network design plan. This analysis also provides several recommendations for the development of network infrastructure which includes the addition of several
network devices, and the addition of a 3rd layer. The benefit of this thesis research is that it is easier for administrators to manage networks and as an archive for University X. It also contributes to a better understanding of diverse and dynamic network infrastructure designs
