Abstract
This study made high-quality concrete with innovations by adding materials from pumice and silica fume fillers with variations in the water-cement factor, which aims to determine how much influence the levels of pumice filler and cement water factor have on the compressive strength of high-quality concrete. Cylindrical test specimens with a size of 156 x 300 mm totaling 45 specimens. The content of the pumice filler used was 3%, 5%, 8%, and 10% by weight of cement and the water-cement factor used was 0.26, 0.40, and 0.50. Constant silica fume content of 1.9% by weight of cement and superplasticizer by 0.75% by weight of cement. Then at 28 days, the compressive-strength test of concrete was carried out according to ASTM C-39 using a concrete compression testing machine. The highest result of the compressive strength test was obtained at 60.45 MPa with the addition of 3% pumice filler with the use of a water-cement factor of 0.26. When using a cement water factor of 0.4, the highest compressive strength is 46.50 MPa with the addition of 10% pumice filler. Then the use of a cement water factor of 0.5 obtained the highest compressive strength value of 32.80 MPa with the addition of 10% pumice filler. The addition of the best pumice filler content to produce the highest compressive strength is 3% with a compressive strength value of 60.45 MPa, and the use of the best cement water factor to produce the highest compressive strength with a cement water factor value of 0.26 with a compressive strength value of 60.45 MPa.
