Abstract
Structural planning in the construction of high-rise buildings has a high risk of earthquakes. Steel frame tube structure with the addition of eccentric bracing to increase resistance to lateral forces, improve structure stability, and reduce the
effects of shear lag. The modeled structure is a 20-story steel frame tube building structure with a varied eccentric bracing shape. There are 4 variations, namely the Inverted V Eccentric Bracing System Form Model, K Eccentric Bracing System Form Model, V and V Inverted Eccentric Bracing System Form Model, and D Eccentric Bracing
System Form Model. Earthquake force analysis using spectrum response analysis with 3D modeling using SAP 2000.
The results of the analysis show that the recommended model is the Inverted V and V Eccentric Bracing System Form Model. Because the dominant qualifies by having a vibration period value of 1.280 seconds, the value of the base earthquake force in the X direction of 3987.180 kN and in the Y direction of 3780.035 kN, and the interchange value between floors in the X direction of 17.811 mm and in the Y
direction of 19.243 mm.
