Abstract
Road infrastructure is needed to support the pace of economic growth along with the increasing need for transportation facilities. The increasing volume of vehicles every year leads to a decrease in road pavement performance which is characterizedby various types of damage that can reduce the age of use of the road planning. Kapi Sraba Raya road is a road section located in Malang Regency with a length of 1.3 km and a width of 4.9 m. Vehicles with excess load can damage the structure of the road layer so as to reduce the accident rate and to increase comfort for roadusers, it is necessary to analyze the level of road damage. From the results of the analysis of the level of road damage using the PCI method obtained 9 types ofdamage with an index value of 53 which means the road is in a moderate condition(fair). Then there needs to be an overlay planning (layer added) on the surface ofthe pavement of the road bending. The first step in this planning is to collect datain the form of average daily traffic volume and land CBR which is then calculatedusing the 1987 Component Analysis method. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained thick layers plus pavement of bending road by 4 cm with a planage of 20 years.
