Abstract

The irregularity of the configuration of the building today is required to becreative and innovative. One form of irregularity in building configuration is softstories. Soft story is a soft level that occurs in columns that have a different rigidityfrom other levels. The structural element that must be paid attention to in theplanning of the building is the columns. The column serves to receive the load andpass it to the foundation. The positioning of the column axis has an effect on thestrength of its column.
The modeled building structure is a multi-storey building with a first softstory that has a column axis direction match the longest span of the beam(MDPAKK), a global y-direction column axis (MDPAKY), a global x-directioncolumn axis (MDPAKY), a global xy direction column axis directional cracking(MDPAKXY). The structure of the building has 10 floors and is located in MalangCity. The structure was analyzed dynamically according to SNI 1726-2019 with theSAP2000 program against earthquake loads. The dynamic analysis used is theanalysis of the variety of spectrum responses. The problem reviewed was the effectof the positioning of the direction of the axis of the structure on the behavior of thebuilding structure when subject to earthquake loads and gravity loads based on SNI1726-2019, SNI 1727-2013, and SNI 1727-1989F. Evaluation of the analysiscarried out on each model of the structure against the vibration period, massparticipation ratio, base shear force, and drift story with spectrum responseearthquake analysis.
Based on the structural performance theory, a building structure is said to besafe if it meets the conditions where it has the largest vibration period, the smallestbasic shear force, and the smallest drift story. In X-directional structure models, thegreatest vibration period in MDPAKY, the smallest base shear force in MDPAKY,the smallest inter-floor deviation in MDPAKY. The X-directional structure modelchosen is MDPAKY because it meets the requirements of the theory, and the modelto avoid is MDPAKX because it has results that are inversely proportional to thetheory. In Y-directional structure models, the greatest vibration period inMDAPKY, the smallest base shear force on MDPAKX, the smallest inter-floordeviation on MDPAKX. The chosen Y-directional structure model is MDPAKXbecause it predominantly meets the requirements of the theory, and the model toavoid is MDPAKXY because it has results that are inversely proportional to thetheory.
