Abstract

The thesis is entitled: The Effectiveness of the MICC (Malang Integrated Command Center) Program Against Crimes Regulated in Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. Social media, especially Facebook and Instagram, are media that are often used as a place to exchange information. However, not all users use the media wisely. Often social media users upload content that violates the Electronic Information and Transaction Law number 11 of 2008.
The research method applied in the completion of this thesis is to use the Juridical Sociological approach, which is an approach based on applicable laws and regulations and linked to theories and facts that occur in the community in order to obtain clear information related to the effectiveness of the MICC (Malang Integrated Command) program. Center) Against Crimes Regulated in Law Number 11 of 2008 Concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.
The results of this study are that the effectiveness of the MICC (Malang Integrated Command Center) program used by the Malang Police can be said to be effective in criminal acts involving complaint offenses. As for criminal acts that are ordinary offenses, it can be said that they are ineffective.
