Abstract

The temperature and humidity of a closed house chicken coop are crucial for the chickens to feel comfortable. To maintain the health and growth of the chickens, maintaining the ideal temperature and humidity is essential. For chicken coops aged 1 to 7 days, the ideal temperature is 34°C. For chickens aged 8 to 14 days, the ideal temperature is 30°C. For chickens aged 15 to 23 days, the ideal temperature is 28°C. And for chickens aged 24 to 30 days, the ideal temperature is 26.6°C. The average humidity should be maintained between 50% to 70%. In this article, the temperature and humidity of the chicken coop will be controlled using fans and lights, with the BME280 sensor used to measure the temperature and humidity. The sensor readings will affect the output of the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) of the fans and the ON/OFF state of the lights. By using the fuzzy method for temperature and humidity control in the chicken coop, stability will be maintained. The testing of the BME280 sensor against the HTC-2 showed an average temperature error of 1.28% and an average humidity error of 1.68%.
