Abstract

The process of draining the oil on shallots after frying is very important to support the quality and durability of fried shallots. The purpose of this research is to help and simplify the process of draining oil on fried onions automatically. In the process of draining the oil using the PID control method so that the motor rotation can rotate as expected in order to maintain the quality of the fried onions and speed up the drying process thereby increasing the durability of the fried onions. From the results of the design and manufacture, it was found that the speed sensor readings had an error of 1.05%. For Kp = 0.1, Ki = 0.2, Kd = 0.05. To determine the value of Kp, Ki, Kd using the Trial error method, the results for the 750 RPM setpoint of the motor can rotate properly.
