Abstract

Drainage is one of the complementary buildings located on the road in order to meet one of the technical requirements for road infrastructure. Road drainage channels function to drain water so that road users are not disturbedand the road body remains dry. At this time, the natural water catchment area in Malang City is decreasing along with the development of an area. The health of drainage channels can also affect the occurrence of flooding. Several things that trigger drainage channel damage, for example, are the occurrence of sedimentation due to garbage being dumped in the drainage channel and the use of the upper part of the drainage channel by residents for business or other purposes so that it covers the surface and even drains water from the road to the drainage channel. This is inseparable from public awareness to increase awareness of the condition of healthy drainage channels. To increase the awareness and concern of citizens about the condition of drainage channels in the Malang City area, information and insights related to the profile of all drainage channels in the Malang City area need to be given to the public through an information system that is implemented through information technology. If the community has received the latest information regarding the condition of drainage channels in their environment, it will have a major impact on public awareness to cooperate with the government in maintaining and caring for drainage channels in Malang City.
