Abstract

The answer of global challenges for educational institutions is the creation of effective educational
communication for optimal output. Organizational culture is described as a communication component that
can help create effective educational communication. This study aims to describe the role of organizational
culture in building educational communication based on multiculturalism and technology. The research method
was descriptive qualitative analytic. Data collection through observation, interviews and literature study. The
informants included head,aster, six teachers and 10 students. While the data analysis technique used the Milles
and Huberman pattern. This study analyzed the role of organizational culture in forming effective educational
communication based on multiculturalism and technology in SMA Taruna Negara, Central Java. The results
showed that organizational culture has a major contribution in creating effective communication based on
multiculturalism and technology. Organizational culture is formed through the implementation of behavioral
internalization communication designs with a layered approach from the class, school to housekeeping level.
The design includes the value of tolerance, the value of national insight, increased academic achievement and
technological literacy. Values related to multiculturalism include tolerance, cooperation, discipline, freedom
to give criticism and suggestions, and two-way communication. Meanwhile, the value related to technology
is the use of technology based on creativity and social responsibility.
