This research is aimed at measurement and analysis of the performance of small scale industry in its post peak-economic crisis condition, ezpecially in the year of 2001 and 2002. The purpose of this research is examined by a simulation of INDORANI-Applied General Equilibrium Model. This model was developed by Pusat Study Ekonomi dan Kebijakan Publik UGM Yogyakarta (d/h PAU Studi Ekonomi UGM). Based on the simulation results, small scale and household handicraft industry that have relatively higher capability to survive in facing the economic environment of 2001 and 2002 is the food and beverage processing industry and also the wood processing industry as well. Indicators used to measure their performance are product quantity, employment, price, and export volume. On the other hand, small scale industry that has relatively lower survival capability in facing the changing economic environment is the chemical, metal, and machinery industry. The results of this simulation are in line the results of the simulation of the peak economic crisis condition in the year of 1997 and 1998.
