Abstract

This study altermpt to exemines the relationship between the participation of housewives in the family planning program and the job status and children's education level. By using chi-square and simple regression analysis the result of this study shows that there is no correlation between the participation of housewives in the family planning and the jobs status and the children's education level. The responden's are grouped into two, i.e., those who have jobs and jobless. This result is due to the simialirities of the characteristic between those two groups of respondents. The hypothesis which states that the fewer the number of children the higher the level of education has been proved insignificant. it should be noted that the respondents joined the program by virtue of controlling the family, therefore, BKKBN is suggested to improve the KIE and counseling.
