Economic globalization creates new atmosphere in business, including in non profit organization like. Bazis, as mentioned in UU no. 38 tahun 1999, is an institution who has authirity to manage zakat, infaq and shodaqoh. The effectiveness of managing zakat is basically based on how bazis can offer its services, as good as possible to mustahiq and muzaki. Bazis can give two possible services, to maximize collecting zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh from muzaki, and to distribute it back to mustahiq spread evenly. In attaining the targets, Bazis has to cretae a trustable and responsible management. Bazis can use Total Quality Management (TQM) as an alternative management. As a concept, TQM can make bazis be able to win the competition and crete the best outcomes. With TQM, bazis can make a serious improvement in human resources, process, and bazis compenets.
