Abstract
The pump is simply a liquid fluid transportation tool. Including one type of energy converter machine that converts energy forms into fluid energy in this case in the form of PRESSURE HEAD energy. Accelerated fluids are thrown in the direction of the volute / pump house and occur / head pressure. in this test is a type of centrifugal pump. The pump can be used to process a single or multiple pump (series or parallel). The test results were obtained from the three experiments namely Single, Series and Parallel pumps, the highest efficiency single pump was 8.174% at head (Hm) 1.62 m and discharge 0.000567 m3 / s at 60 rpm at single pump 1 and 9.662% at head ( Hm) 1.45 m and discharge 0.000300 m3 / s at 40 rpm at asingle pump 2 before modifying the suction pipe. Whereas for the highest total pump series efficiency is 20.555% in head (Hm) 2.4 m and discharge (Q) 0.000817 m3 / s at 80 rpm rotation in the pump series before the modification of the suction pipe. For parallel pumps the highest total efficiency of 75.94% in head (Hm) is a total of 5.85 m and discharge (Q) is 0.001000 m3 / s at 80 rpm at a parallel pump before modification of the suction pipe. So that it can be concluded, the pump before the modification of the suction pipe is better than after the modification of the suction pipe.
