Abstract
Human resources are a group of people who work and function as company assets in achieving company goals. The performance of HR itself is one of the company's efforts in the process of managing and developing the company. One of the factors that can influence performance itself is the leadership style of the company's leaders in managing their human resources. Each leader has their own way of directing and demanding their subordinates, in this article the leadership style used is transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style. Transformational leadership is a leadership style that tends to provide support and motivation to subordinates, while transactional leadership is a leadership style that involves reciprocal relationships with subordinates. In this modern era, many industries have been managed and developed by each leader not only men, so gender is not the dominant differentiating factor in the world of work. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the differences in leadership styles between men and women through the dimensions of transformational and transactional leadership styles, and to know the influence of leadership styles on employee performance. This article involves a number of employees in a company to test the influence given by their superiors on their performance through leadership styles that have been applied in a certain period of time. The results of this article show there is no difference between male and female leadership styles, gender consists of masculine character and feminine character and each character can be owned by everyone, both men and women. Leadership between men and women combines transformational and transactional leadership styles, while transformational and transactional leadership styles are equally used in companies. In addition, this article also shows that transformational leadership style influences employee performance, while transactional leadership style does not affect employee performance
