Abstract
PTJapfa Comfeed Indonesia UnitGedanganis one of the most integrated agri-food factory in Indonesia. PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia producing many various kind of animal feed. Corn seeds used as main material to produce animal feed, and its supported by another material such as:Canola, Soya Bean Meal (SBM), Rape Seed Meal (RSM), Cassava, Brand Poland, Lamtoro leaf flour, and many others. In order to maintain the process to get good result, quality control needs to be applied especially in controlling corn seeds and any other process. Defective corn seeds that not detected from coming inspection in QC Entrance become the most frequently encountered problems to the factory. This situation have an impact to the quality of the finished product.In order to improve quality control of the product, the factory need to carry out more rigorous inspections. This research aims to give solutions to the factory in selecting corn seeds using acceptance sampling method. The characteristic of corn seeds can be measured by the presence of fungus, cracked corn seeds, foreign objects using STD MIL 105D, while the variabel characteristic defined as water content of the corn seed can be measured by using STD MIL414.94 data are selected between 03/06/2018 until 09/06/2018 as sample of this research, during the inspection using STD MIL 105D there are seven truck rejected, and STD MIL 414 there are 5 truck rejected. By using STD MIL 105D and STD MIL 414 the factory can improve the effectiveness in controling the quality of the corn seed.
