Abstract
Economy growth in Indonesia causes the retail business to increase every year. Increased retail business in Indonesia caused high competition among retail. To win in the consumer segment, the retail business produce their own products from their own stores, and their strategy called private labels. Retail is trying to find a third party to produce private label from their retail. Manufacturers or third parties usually already have their own brand before they produce private label brands. The brand produced by the manufacturer is known as national Brand. This opportunity can be utilized for entrepreneurs who produce national brands to produce private label. But this opportunity needs to be considered by the entrepreneurs, because by producing private label there are several considerations that must be considered, such as whether by producing private label will bring profit for the company. This article will discuss what kind of profit the company gets as a manufacturer if producing private label. The conclusion of this article is that the company will get profit if it produces private label products, since products from private labels do not threaten products that have been produced by the company as a manufacturer first.
