Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the intensity of smartphone use and interest in learning in junior high school students. The design of this study uses a quantitative approach with simple random sampling method. The sample in this study was junior high school students n=113. The results of the analysis using the Product Moment correlation analysis method, obtained a significant value between the variable interest in learning and intensity of smartphone use, namely a correlation coefficient value of -0.516, with a significance value of 0.000. The research results show that there is a negative relationship between the intensity of smartphone use and interest in learning in junior high school students.
