Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between interpersonal communication and job stress among working students. The research employed a correlational quantitative method with a total of 349 working student respondents. Sampling was conducted using a non-probability sampling technique, specifically incidental sampling. The measurement tools used in this study were the interpersonal communication scale (α=0,850) and the job stress scale (α=0,824). Data analysis was performed using a simple linear regression technique. The analysis results showed a significance value of 0.022 (p < 0.05), indicating a negative relationship between interpersonal communication and job stress among working students. In other words, the higher the interpersonal communication skills, the lower the level of job stress experienced. This study provides insights into the importance of interpersonal communication in reducing job stress among working students. By enhancing interpersonal communication skills, job stress can be minimized, thereby improving the well-being of working students.
