Abstract

Marital satisfaction is a form of subjective evaluation of husbands and wives for their married life based on feelings of satisfaction, happiness, and pleasant experiences with their partners. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of marital satisfaction of couples who married early in terms of the characteristics of the subject. The characteristics of the subjects referred to in this study were gender, age at marriage and length of marriage. This research was conducted in Karangploso District with a total of 150 research subjects. The research method used is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach. The results of this study are that there is no relationship between gender and marital satisfaction (p-value = 0.907), there is no relationship between age at marriage and marital satisfaction (p-value = 0.356), and there is a relationship between length of marriage and marital satisfaction (p-value = 0.000).
