Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of self-concept (X) on violence between boyfriends (Y) among students in Malang City. This research method uses quantitative research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were active students in the city of Malang with data collection techniques using purposive sampling. The criteria for research participants were students aged 18-25 years and students who were dating for a minimum duration of 6 months. Research data collection used a self-concept scale and a dating violence scale. Data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis. The research results (r=0.239, p<0.05) show that there is an influence of self-concept on the tendency to become a victim of dating violence. Self-concept has an influence of 23.9% on the tendency to become a victim of dating violence based on the R square table
