Abstract
This research discusses the influence of authoritarian parenting on aggressive behavior among students of Junior High School (SMP) X Malang. Aggressive behavior in adolescents is recognized as a critical issue because it impacts both the individual and their social environment. Recent surveys indicate that a significant number of adolescents have experienced some form of violence, with peers being the primary perpetrators. This study defines aggressive behavior as actions aiming to harm others, either physically or verbally, and categorizes it into two types: instrumental and emotional. The primary focus of this research is on parenting, especially the authoritarian style. The findings reveal that out of 150 students at SMP X Malang, the majority are 13 years old. A total of 74 students (49.33%) experience moderate authoritarian parenting, while 76 students (50.57%) experience high authoritarian parenting. Regarding aggressive behavior, 124 students (82.67%) display moderate aggression, and 26 students (17.33%) display high aggression. This study offers valuable insights into how parenting styles can influence adolescent behavior
