Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between Mindfulness and Self-Control in Motor Vehicle Riders who Violate Traffic Regulations. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a link between Mindfulness and Self-Control in motorized vehicle drivers who violate traffic. The research subjects were 47 people. The scale used to measure the level of selfcontrol is Averill's self-control scale (in Ghufron and Risnawati, 2010). The mindfulness scale uses a scale from Baer, Smith, and Hopkins, Krietemeyer, and
Toney (in Anita, 2017). The analytical method used in this study is the Pearson SPSS version 20 product-moment correlation method for windows. The results of calculations and data analysis using the Pearson product-moment correlation method show a correlation index (rxy) of 0.766 with a significance value of 0.000 at a significance level of 5%. This means that there is a positive relationship between mindfulness and SELF-CONTROL on motorized vehicle drivers who violate traffic so that the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
