Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of perceptions of giving belis on marital satisfaction in Larantuka District, East Flores. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The number of subjects in this study were 382 subjects. The method of collecting data in this study uses a differential semantic scale and a Likert scale. Test the validity of the scale using Pearson Product Moment and reliability is measured using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The normality test uses the Kolmogorov-Smirnov technique. The linearity test uses the test for linearity
technique. The hypothesis test was carried out using a simple linear regression test to obtain an R score of 0.34 and contributed an influence of 34%, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of perceptions of giving belis on marital
satisfaction to married couples in Larantuka sub-district. Thus this conclusion states that the hypothesis is accepted. Suggestions are addressed to husbands and wives in Larantuka District, East Flores so that they can continue to improve marital satisfaction properly so that they are able to create a harmonious family with the provision of belis. Furthermore, future researchers can conduct similar research in order to increase scientific theories that can be used as previous research.
