Abstract

This research aims to eplore the influence of social support on the work motivation of intern students in Ruang Aqil Batch 5. Internship is considered as an etracurricular learning activity outside the campus that provides preparation and introduction to the working world for students. Motivation is regarded as a key factor affecting the enthusiasm and achievement of students' goals in the workplace. Social support, as an emotional and informational aspect of social interaction, is identified as a crucial element that can affect students' abilities to overcome challenges and issues during the internship. The research employs a quantitative method with a population and sample of 88 intern students in Ruang Aqil Batch 5. Data is collected through social support and work motivation scales, and analysis is conducted using simple linear regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing show a significance value of 0.009 < 0.05, indicating a significant influence of social support on the work motivation of intern students, with an effective contribution of 7.7%. These findings underscore the importance of social support in enhancing the work motivation of intern students, providing insights for educational institutions and organizations hosting internships to improve the eperiences and productivity of students in the working world
