Abstract

There has been an increase in aggressive behavior in teenagers between 2016 and 2021. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of self-control on aggressive behavior in class X students at SMAN 1 Sumberpucung. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research population here is all students of SMA Negeri 1 Sumberpucung, a total of 93 people. Data collection was carried out using a self-control scale and an aggressive behavior scale. The data analysis method uses simple linear regression techniques. Before carrying out simple linear regression, an assumption test is carried out first, namely the normality test and linearity test. Based on a simple linear regression test, the results obtained were 77.795 with a significance value of 0.00<0.05, indicating that there is a significant influence of self-control on aggressive behavior with an influence contribution of 46.1%
