Abstract

Participation of community members is the involvement or involvement of community members in development, including activities in planning and implementing (implementation) development programs/projects carried out in the local community. In addition, many village developments have not been realized. For this reason, the results of the study show the efforts that have been made by the Kalisongo village head in order to increase community participation by involving The goals to be achieved in writing this proposal are of course to find out the problems put forward, including: 1. To describe and analyze the Village government's efforts to encourage community participation in development in Kalisongo Village! And 2.To describe and analyze community participation in village development!. The use of this research is as a means for writers or researchers to train and develop the ability to think systematically and theoretically in solving a problem.
This study used a qualitative approach and information was extracted using interviews, observations, with informants, namely, the village secretary as the key informant, the village head as the main informant, and the community as additional informants, analyzed through stages consisting of, 1. Data collection, 2. Data reduction, 3. Presentation of data, 4. Drawing conclusions.
Based on the discussion and also the methods above, this study concluded that village development is inseparable from the participation of village communities. Because the existence of community participation can affect the development process starting from the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes. So that it can be compiled with several conclusions, namely: 1) Community participation in making drainage in key hamlets is an example that there is community involvement in development in Kalisongo village 2) Transparency in the management of village funds and accountability is very important for the Kalisongo village community so that the community can know the development budget and also what kind of development this budget is used for. 3) In the process of development in the village of Kalisongo there needs to be support and awareness from the Kalisongo village community to participate in development in the village, but all of this cannot be separated from encouragement by the village government to the village community.
