Abstract
Currently, the source of development funds from mining is no longer relevant because it is increasingly depleted. This source of funds from mining can no longer be maintained for the future where the source of development that is always renewed because it will not run out is tourism. Tourism is a labor-intensive sector that has the ability to improve various community problems where there are three benefits that will be generated including increasing employment that can provide income, increasing the growth rate of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and significant tax contributions. One type of community-based tourism is a tourist village. A village can only be considered a tourist village if it meets certain criteria. One of the opinions is because it has the potential to be unique and attractive to tourists. Malang Regency is an area that has various attractions, one of which is artificial tourism such as the Boon Pring tourist village in Sanankerto Village, Turen District, Malang Regency. The Boon Pring tourist village is a branding on the name of its mission in the context of spring conservation which means preserving bamboo and springs. However, when the Boon Pring tourist village in Sanankerto Village developed, it was not free from problems or obstacles that became obstacles, namely the biggest factor was the quality of human resources with diverse educational backgrounds that were lower which were able to reduce limitations in creativity or innovation. So when there was a thought to develop the progress of Boon Pring, there were differences of opinion. Moreover, Boon Pring is a tourist spot that is known as "having a village" so that the whole community feels that they own it. The purpose of this study is to develop tourism in tourist villages, one of which is at the research location of Sanankerto Village. So the researcher chose Boon Pring Tourism Village in Sanankerto Village as the research location. The results of this study explain that the development of the Boon Pring tourist village in Sanankerto Village, Turen District, Malang Regency has been implemented even though it has not been fully maximized in meeting its success. The development of tourist villages requires efforts that include the development of human resources (HR), partnerships or cooperation, village government activities, promotion, and fertility/competition.
